The Funk is Gone

Thanks, loyalist of readers, for your words of encouragement chasing me from the recent funk.

You helped.

And so did being at the Patriots game yesterday. Forget about the temperature, the tailgating featured margaritas, captain and coke, tenderloin tips, scallops, lobster (yes, lobster) and baby back ribs. Did someone say Forty by Forty?

And, of course, these guys help every day.

Aidan in his new favorite jammies.

Look at me, Dad. I’m sitting up all by myself!

So they weren’t looking at the camera. Do you know how hard it was to just get this one?!

What else? I got nothin’.

I don’t want to hear any complaints about the cold. Have you seen Wisconsin? Maybe you caught a glimpse during the Packers game? Oy – it’s FREEZING.

Glad you’re feeling better, and the kids are adorable (despite Aidan’s Red Sox PJ’s, of course, but I’m an Indians fan so I’m still a little bitter).

  2. JenBun says:

LOVE the Red Sox jammies!!! I want a pair…

The ONLY bright side to the Patriots winning is that it helped with your funk… enjoy it! =)

  3. Stephanie says:

Those little ones are TOO cute!

And you are so lucky you were there yesterday! Mark said it was surreal after they won, with the fireworks and confetti and just plain CRAZINESS in the stadium! Mark had an awesome time, I am so jealous of you two!

  4. Molly says:

Omigod. Can I come over and squeeze them? Just for a little while?

  5. Melissa says:

    Your kids are so adorable!

I’m glad you didn’t freeze to death at the game. Brrr!

  6. erin says:

I cannot imagine being at a football game yesterday. SO COLD. You must really love those Patriots (and maybe those margaritas helped too).

  7. fritz says:

am so glad you enjoyed the game…nick wants to know where the seats were again! and holy crow the kids are growing so fast!! awww

  8. Clink says:

The eyes! The eyes on those kids!

And the Giants made my weekend infinitely better, as I was in a little funk of my own.

    BRING IT ON, Pats.

  9. I’m with Clink- the eyes! Ador. Able. (You know, if adorable was two words.)

    Umm, go Giants, no offense.

  10. Christel says:

Good to hear–so lucky you got to go to the game!!!!

  11. Chelle says:

Had a little captain in you for the big game? That’s cool. And excuse the terrible transition to this next comment on the cutiepies… Could they be more adorable? And when did Erin get so big? And when is she coming to the office, so I can hold this bundle of cuteness?

Whew, I think that covers it!

  12. Anna says:

And when did Erin turn into the spitting image of Aidan? They are so cute, and I can’t wait to take their photo again. NOT that I could get them both looking in the camera either.

And now that she is sitting, you are SO in for it. Just when you were starting to think having two kids was kind of manageable, she will start MOVING. It’s all over then.

    Go Patriots!

  13. Pessimistic Redhead says:

Ahh, what pretty blue eyes those kids have. Yay for the Pats, yay for your ridiculously yummy tailgating food, and yay for your cute kids.

  14. AWWW!!! your kids are so darn cute!!! They look so much alike! I love it!! Glad to see you back!!

  15. Beta Mom says:

Beta Dad wants those Red Sox Jammies!

  16. christine says:

Yup, I agree – those kids have beautiful eyes!

And Anna is totally right – Kel just started climbing steps, and I now make a habit of running from kitchen to stairway, from stairway to kitchen, every time I try to make a meal. Ugh.
